World Championship!

Long distance was never appealing to me until about five years ago. I was a sprinter in 7th and 8th grade. In 2008, a friend got a few of us into running. The running led to 5K's, then, sprint and olympic triathlons. Six years later, what I thought was an impossible dream, now became reality. Thanks to the peer pressure of fellow athletes and friends, I did my first 70.3 Ironman in Augusta, GA! Two years later, after completing four 70.3's, I qualified for the World Championships! To top it off, it was in my favorite place, Australia. This was an amazing experience that I was able to share with a few friends, Laurie, Megan and Mike, who I've had the pleasure of training with and becoming good friends with throughout the years.
